Charlotte Church gives birth to boy

UPDATE - 13th January 2009:
ITN - Charlotte Church has named her newborn son Dexter Lloyd Henson.

Independent - Singer and presenter Charlotte Church today gave birth to her second child with rugby star Gavin Henson. The 22-year-old was at home the Vale of Glamorgan in south Wales with Henson for the birth just after midnight. The baby boy weighed in at 7lb and 5oz but the couple have yet to announce a name for their son, a statement on the star's website said. Both mother and baby are doing fine, said the statement.

Celebs Name Their Babies

Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson have named their newborn daughter Ruby Megan Henson.

Meanwhile my source tells me that Eastenders star Charlie Clements and his model girlfriend Natascha have thought of some names for their baby which is due in December. If it's a girl the name could be Coco Amelle Clements and for a boy Alfie Ray Clements.

Charlotte Has Baby Girl

Charlotte Church has given birth to a baby girl - but she was told she was expecting a boy, reports The Sun.

Her rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson, 24, was with Charlotte, 21, when she gave birth at her new £800,000 home on Thursday night.

A family friend said, “Charlotte and Gavin are over the moon. She’s everything they wished for."

Charl’s Lone-Birth Fears

Mum-to-be Charlotte Church fears she’ll have to have her baby alone.

The singer’s mum, Maria, has started a new life in France and boyfriend Gavin Henson could be abroad with the Welsh rugby team when the baby is due.

The 21-year-old has been relying on her mum's support but she has now moved away from Cardiff and Gavin could be on World Cup duty when the baby arrives in early autumn.

“I bought the house in France before Charl got pregnant and had always planned for a life in the sun,” Maria told Closer magazine. “When the baby comes Charl will need our help and we may move back. New mums tend to need their own mum around.”

Girls Aloud Star Slags Off Rivals

Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole has listed the the names of celebs who have slagged her off and is waiting for revenge, reports The Sun.

Cheryl said,“I’ve got a hit list. Dane Bowers is on it.”

Cheryl revealed her list as she gave her rivals a slagging-off with fiery chef Gordon Ramsay.

Gordon read out abuse from celebs aimed at Cheryl. Apparently this worked and Cheryl started bitching.

Cheryl targets Charlotte Church. The pair have been feuding for months and never miss an opportunity to slate each other.

Gordon reminded Cheryl - wife of footballer Ashley Cole - the time Charlotte said: “I haven’t resorted to wearing short skirts and dating a footballer to get into the charts”.

Cheryl hit back: “She’s either talking s**** or talking about someone else. A******.”

Gordon then reminds Cheryl that Lily Allen once said, “Nobody really wants to look like Cheryl - they just think they do.”

Cheryl snapped back. “Because everyone wants to look like her. Chick with a d***.” Ouch!

Charlotte Looking For X Factor Invite?

Charlotte Church has criticised The X Factor's judging panel for being ignorant about music.

The singer/presenter insisted that the TV singing contest's judges lack the in-depth musical knowledge to make decisions about the future careers of singing hopefuls.

She told Closer, “I’ve got enormous respect for Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, but they just don’t know the ins and outs of a voice or music."

“When I’m watching the show I think, ‘You haven’t got a clue what you’re on about – I should be on there'. On the last series, Sharon said about The Unconventionals: ‘That was so messy, you were all singing in different keys.’ Er, yes, they’re called harmonies.”

Charlotte Church's mum has revealed that the singer will not be marrying Gavin Henson until next year.

Maria Church told Reveal magazine, “I can assure everyone that Charl and Gav are not getting married before the baby comes. Charl certainly won’t want to walk down the aisle a pregnant bride."


Mark Ronson Sets The Record Straight

Music producer Mark Ronson has shrugged off reports that he is dating Amy Winehouse.

Apparently media reports have suggested the pair got together after Ronson worked on the production of Amy's album.

Charlotte Will Not Pose Naked While Pregnant

Charlotte Church will not be following in the footsteps of Demi Moore and Britney and posing naked while she is pregnant, reports 24Dash.

Charlotte's mother Maria said, "I know Demi and Britney did it, but it is not for our Charl."

The singer and TV presenter admits that she is exhausted working while pregnant.

Scooch Aren't Impressed With Charlotte

Scooch have hit back at Charlotte Church after the she criticised their Eurovision entry, reports DigitalSpy.

Church said that their performance, "made every pore in my body itch with embarrassment".

Scooch have now hot back at the singer turned presenter.

Scooch singer Russ Spencer said: "What a pity that the voice of an angel has acquired the mouth of a sewer."

His bandmate Natalie Powers added: "As a mother of a young child myself I find her behaviour and language quite unacceptable. What kind of role model is this for a mum-to-be?"

Charlotte Church has launched a verbal attack on Britain's Eurovision entrants Scooch.

Church, 21, said their performance on BBC's Making Your Mind Up "made every pore in my body itch with embarrassment".

The group dressed up as cabin crew members, along with a cheesy dance routine while performing their song Flying The Flag [For You].

On her website she said the show was "a load of absolute shit" and Cyndi should be the one going to Helsinki.

Charlotte Church has confirmed she is pregnant and that she and boyfriend Gavin Henson are "delighted".

A message posted on her website from the her management says:

"Charlotte has asked us to bring you the news exclusively today via CharlotteChurch.com that she is pregnant."

Charlotte Church Expecting?

Charlotte Church snubbed a boozy 21st bash for a quiet family party — sparking rumours she is pregnant, reports The Sun.

The chat show host and singer has finally quit smoking and friends have noticed she has put on a bit of weight in recent weeks.

Charlotte remained sober at her 21st birthday on Wednesday — with a low-key party for close family and friends at her Cardiff home. But she has mysteriously cancelled plans for a bigger bash at the city’s Hilton hotel this weekend.

Her pals are wondering if she is expecting a child.

Last Saturday Charlotte told The Sun exclusively how she wanted to have children with her rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson, 25.

She revealed that she would say “Yes” if he asked her to marry him.

She said with a smile: “We’re so happy — I’d like to have his kids. I love him and he’s the one.”

She added that wedding bells might still be some time off. She said: “We’re both really young. I’ve got a great career and he’s got a great career."
