AskMen.com readers cast more than five million votes to rank the women who best embody all the qualities of an ideal girlfriend or wife. Katherine Heigl, who dominated both small and big screens (Knocked Up & Grey's Anatomy) over the past year, took home top honors as the Most Desirable Woman of 2008.

Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio was the runner-up and actress Kate Beckinsale rounded out the top three.

The remaining top ten encompass a slew of actresses - including Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel - while singer Rihanna, and supermodels Marisa Miller and Adriana Lima complete the top ten.

Grey's Anatomy Star Exhausted

Grey's Anatomy actor Justin Chambers checked into hospital suffering from exhaustion earlier this week.

Chambers, 37, who plays Dr Alex Karev in the hit medical drama, was admitted to the psychiatric ward at the UCLA medical centre on Monday.

His spokesperson told TMZ that he went to the hospital "voluntarily to get some help" because he was "exhausted and suffers from a sleeping disorder".

He checked out of the facility on Wednesday - apparently he left just before the arrival of Britney Spears.

Golden Globes Ceremony Scrapped

The Golden Globes ceremony has been cancelled and replaced with a news conference because of the strike by writers over royalties, reports BBC.

The winners of the US TV and film awards, regarded as second in prestige only to the Oscars, will instead be revealed in a low-key, hour-long news conference next Sunday.

Actors, including George Clooney and Keira Knightley had vowed to boycott the event in support of writers, according to reports. Without top names, networks had threatened not to screen the event.

Jorge Camara of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association said, "We are all very disappointed that our traditional awards ceremony will not take place this year and that millions of viewers worldwide will be deprived of seeing many of their favourite stars."

Meanwhile, Oscars organisers say they are confident they will be able to "do the kind of show the public expects of us" on 24 February.

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) has been on strike since November over "residuals" - royalties for work distributed online or on DVD.

The dispute has brought to a standstill the production of nearly all TV comedy and drama shows including Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy.

Season 4 of Grey’s Anatomy kicks off tonight on ABC in the US. We already know that Isaiah Washington will not return for the fourth season.
UK fans are in for a wait; the Season 3 Finale will air during late October in the UK.
Most likely Season 4 will be shown in the UK next year (boo!).

Wentworth Miller Denies Gay Rumours...Again

Wentworth Miller has slammed reports claiming that he is gay and has insisted that he simply has not found the right girl yet, erports Digital Spy.

The Prison Break actor has been romantically linked with Brothers & Sisters actor Luke MacFarlane after the pair were spotted hanging out together. MacFarlane is the ex-boyfriend of Grey's Anatomy star T.R Knight (George O'Malley).

For a long time rumours have been spread that Miller is gay because he does not talk about his private life.

Miller has now hit back at the claims and explained that he has been concentrating on his career while he waits to meet a girl he likes.

He said: "I’m not gay, but that rumour can’t be killed. I’d like to have a girlfriend and a family. But I haven’t met the right one yet."

”Until then I’m focusing on my job. I had to wait so long for this chance. I savour every second on set even if it means 14 hours of shooting a day."

How many more times do people need to hear him say that he is NOT gay.

Katherine Heigl Wedding Details

Grey’s Anatomy actress Katherine Heigl is set to get married on 23rd December.

A friend of the couple told UsWeekly the wedding will be “very small and intimate — not like an Eva Longoria or even a Kate Walsh wedding.”

Talking about reports that Heigl, 28, and her fiancé, singer Josh Kelley, 27, will tie the knot at her Utah home; the pal said, “It will not be at Katherine’s house,” but “it will be in the Park City–Deer Valley area.”

The invites have not gone out yet, but Heigl's Grey's co-star T.R. Knight will be there as he “is a brother and a best friend to her. She wouldn’t get married without him.”

Kate Walsh married Alex Young after dating each other for about four months. The wedding took place on Saturday Sept 1.

Grey's Anatomy Star Slams Media

Grey's Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo has criticised the American media for focusing on celebrities who are "famous for nothing".

Pompeo was reportedly making a point about the continuing media interest in celebrities such as Paris Hilton.

The actress told Los Angeles Confidential magazine, "I just think the media should take this country in a different direction."

"We're so focused on the wrong things. We're teaching young girls that this is what they should be focusing on: rich and famous girls who are rich and famous for nothing."

The medical drama star added that she is concerned by the continuing speculation in the press that she has a eating disorder.

She commented, "I just worry about the girls who look up to me - I don't want them to think I starve myself or don't eat, and that to be like me that's what they have to do."
