More Watchmen today, this time featuring a latex-clad Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre. A couple of these shots have featured on the forums, but I believe these are of higher quality.
If you look closely at the costume, you can see that Malin is actually wearing a latex corset over her bodysuit. Or is it just me who looks closely at these things? ;)
And finally a reproduction of the original promo art showing Silk Spectre:
After years of doubt, arguably the best comic book - sorry, 'graphic novel' - ever written is finally getting a well-deserved cinematic outing. It's obvious from the phenomenaltrailer that 300-director Zack Snyder, his cinematographer and hundreds of behind-the-scenes CG gurus can deliver the visuals, but it's the great casting that caught my eye. These characters literally look as if they've stepped out of the Watchmen pages.
We've already seen sexy Malin Ackerman as modern day Silk Spectre on here (love the latex, Malin), but Robert Rodriguez regular Carla Gugino also deserves a mention. She plays Sally Jupiter, the original incarnation of Silk Spectre and if these promo images are anything to go by, the vintage costumes are going to be a sight to behold!
Thanks go out to Solitaire for forwarding on these images.
As if a movie adaptation of the most accomplished comic books of all time wasn't enough, we get a main character clothed in latex throughout. Bonus!
The film is, of course, Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' Watchmen, and the superheroine is Silk Spectre, played by Malin Akerman.
Watchmen is directed by Zack Snyder, who followed up the excellent Dawn of the Dead remake with 300, a film that truly felt like a graphic novel brought to life, but was possibly too literal for its own good. Let's hope Watchmen proves to be as good as its source material and this promising initial trailer suggests.
For those of you who want to see more of Malin (and who wouldn't!), there's an HQ picture of her in the same outfit on the forums here.
Additionally, HQ versions of the same trailer can be found here.
This TV show enjoys a glorious heritage of combatants beating each other with over-sized cotton buds and Dodgeball-esque Gladiator names like Laser and...Blazer. But let's face it, the attraction has never really been watching the plight of the plucky members of the public facing the daunting challenges, it's always been the spandex-clad Gladiatrix...es (Gladiatrices? Gladioli?). Here are a few pics from a recent photoshoot of the newest Gladiators in a fetish mood.
For some reason, one of the images I uploaded didn't appear on yesterday's entry, so I've added it to the post. For those who already have the other images, here it is:
Ever adept at reinvention, Kylie Minogue's latest look is definitely one I think I approve of. Here she is performing at the Nobel Peace Prize shindig. I trust Al Gore is tutting in the background at the massive 'carbon footprint' of the whole thing ;)
