Johnny Depp has been named the “Top Money-Making Star of 2007” in Quigley Publishing Company’s 76th Annual Poll. He also took first last year, was second to Tom Cruise in 2005 and he made his debut on the list in 2003, coming in at number six.
Depp starred in “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” and “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” in 2007.
And check it out, for the first time in 24 years, a female actress was not included on the top-ten list.
The top 10 for the “Top Money-Making Stars of 2007” are:

7. Tom Cruise - “Lions for Lambs”
8. Nicholas Cage - “Ghost Rider” & “National Treasure: Book of Secrets”
9. Will Ferrell - “Blades of Glory”
10. Tom Hanks - “Charlie Wilson’s War”
The Quigley Poll, which has been conducted every year since 1932, is an annual survey of motion picture exhibitors, which asks them to vote for the ten stars that they believe generated the most box-office revenue in the preceding year for their theaters.
