Jessica Ennis, a Brithish heptathlete, will not be going to the Beijing Olympics because a scan revealed a fracture in her right ankle. She was thought to be a medal contender.A message on her website states:
Bad news today for Jess and for UK athletics as a scan reveals a stress
fracture in her right ankle. As you can appreciate Jess is extremely
disappointed so the many messages of support are extremely appreciated. Jessica
